on November 7th, 2007 at 11:16 am

on November 7th, 2007 at 12:24 pm
Wow, that’s awesome.
on November 7th, 2007 at 1:02 pm
Probly have a sensor that can tell when the Screen gets pushed in…probly make the command clicck where the ball hit
on November 7th, 2007 at 1:11 pm

I think that they used same technique as in golf-simulators, but in this case game was interesting. :D

Thia game was great when it debuted, and this takes it to a whole new level. Great idea.

This video was released by Visual Sports Systems (www.visualsports.ca). The tracking technology consists of four cameras mounted to the ceiling. The cameras determine the speed, trajectory and location of any passing object. You can see them in the video, they are the red lights on top right corner of the screen. Visual Sports has traditionally focused on the commercial simulator market but we are now expanding to the in-home market. We found the I Hate Clowns game online and saw the potential for integrating it with our tracking technology. We are looking to build a library of mini-games like I Hate Clowns that appeal to the in-home market. If anyone is interested in developing or modifying an existing game that integrates our tracking system please email me at [email protected].

In fact it is a golf-simulator with a different program in it, you can see he trow golf balls. I work in a Golftown and I played a similar game but it was more like a brick game with no physic.. Anyway that one is nice!

“And keep an eye on the page! The reviewers have been doing a great job, and there are a number of new reviews to post in the next week.”
-Matthew
Umm… are ya’ll alive?
You know, just checking. Hope we get some reviews soon!
on December 9th, 2007 at 8:11 am
It’s been almost two months, since the last review :(
on December 9th, 2007 at 8:14 am
…and I’m checking the site a couple of times a day. Every day.
on December 9th, 2007 at 9:09 am
yeah, its become a habit of mine, too…
on December 9th, 2007 at 9:41 am
You two are not the only ones… :)
on December 10th, 2007 at 11:42 am
Same :( need physic sandboxes and so on.
By the way have you guys seen Digital Molecular Matter or the Euphoria Engine? thats some sweet stuff (I really like the first one).
I am already imagining a new Half Life game with a brand new Garrysmod where every piece of junk is fully destructable, bendable, breakable whatever.
Still…any new physic demos or sandboxes for us? ._.
on December 11th, 2007 at 7:28 pm
I was hoping that they could come out with a review for Cortex Command.
It did just finally come out.
on December 12th, 2007 at 8:41 pm
Zzz… Oh well, at least Toribash is on the front page. :P
on December 16th, 2007 at 4:59 am
I hope the blogwriter is all right ;_;
on December 16th, 2007 at 11:34 pm
wtb new reviews! :)
on December 17th, 2007 at 1:03 am
I think the site’s dead.
Honestly, there’s been no updates for ages, I’ve not seen any sign of these so called new reviewers he asked for some time ago, and there’s been no form of activity at all. I wouldn’t be surprised if the site just died sometime soon.
on December 17th, 2007 at 10:15 am
Oh, I’m still around, just busy.
For the record, all of the recent reviews were done by the new reviewers. They have a bunch of completed reviews on deck, too; I’ve just been bad about getting them posted.
The forum has plenty of activity, by the way. It’s a good place to find new games in the meantime. I’ll figure out some way to bring the front page back to life over the holidays.
on December 17th, 2007 at 11:17 am
Yay I’m excited! :D
Hey by the way Matthew, did you see any updates for Hammerfall? Because I don’t understand the site even when its translated…
It’s an awesome game and I can’t wait for the full version to come out . :)
Thanks in advance. (I don’t wanna [post twice lol)
on December 18th, 2007 at 3:30 am
I’m confused.
You get reviewers in to ease your load… but they can’t put thier reviews on the page themselves? Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of the help?
And, what recent reviews? there’s been no update for over a month.
on December 18th, 2007 at 4:16 pm
That’s correct, the current pipeline requires FLV encoding and other steps that not all reviewers can do. And, yes, as long as I’m a part of the posting process my schedule can affect the whole thing.
It’s not like I’m not aware of these things.
on December 19th, 2007 at 1:35 pm
it’s nice to see that the writer cares about the website as much as the comments ^.^
on December 19th, 2007 at 1:39 pm
candyman: I can’t tell if you’re being a bitch or not…
on December 19th, 2007 at 2:05 pm
That’s good, the site isn’t dead. I’ve always looked forwards to the reviews. Thanks a lot!
on December 19th, 2007 at 4:38 pm
Can you estimate when you are ready to post new reviews? I don’t wanna spend the hollidays waiting for new stuff if it’s not coming ;)
But greatest find on the net for me, i just love physics :) It’d be great if you could review or make an article about diffrent engines like havok and ageia.

on December 20th, 2007 at 1:55 pm
that wasn’t very polite >.
on December 20th, 2007 at 6:47 pm
What was not polite? I joked about hollidays…but it’d be nice to get the reviews asap
on December 21st, 2007 at 12:31 pm

on December 21st, 2007 at 3:50 pm
Candyman: you where being a super deformed gigantic sized acting like a prick because your not getting your reviews straight off.
Contrary to popular belief people who run websites have lives. Please, try not to be a prick again.

1- maybe if you were paying attention to the comments before mine, you would realize that i am only agreeing to other people
2- how is “i would like a review” the same thing as “begging” for a review like a prick
on December 22nd, 2007 at 3:15 pm
you did not say I would like a review, you said Quote “it’s nice to see that the writer cares about the website as much as the comments ^.^”
That was not taken as a simple comment, Maybe you should look up the words Satirical, Caustic, Sarcasm, Satire…those words should further help you understand yourself.
on December 24th, 2007 at 9:55 am
maybe u should have posted that a few comments or directly after i said that, or maybe notify that you were talking about that specific comment. and it was not sarcastic, it was generous. it was a compliment. oh sorry; you probably dont know what those words mean.
on December 24th, 2007 at 1:19 pm
haha well, It does not really matter what I percieve it as, You pissed the author of the site off, So in all actuality it only matters what he thought about the comment….which he thought you where being a bitch.
on December 24th, 2007 at 5:15 pm
Flaming wars going on here?
haha, the christmas spirit :)
Merry physic x-mas guys and gals
on December 25th, 2007 at 11:13 am
Lol Vixen. WOOHOO TODAY’S CHRISTMAS!!!
Hope you guys all have a wonderful time today… And for those of you who doesn’ celebrate Christmas… Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
*pss* Matthew… Why can’t you just put a Christmas themed physics game up? No need for review just have to say “Merry Christmas everyone!Review coming soon :D”
on December 25th, 2007 at 11:41 pm
Yeah and don’t forget the “:D”
Haha
on December 26th, 2007 at 3:28 am
What I find intresting is that “the current pipeline involves FLV encoding” whereas the last 6 mainpage entries either use youtube, or dailymotion, which don’t require FLV encoding, just a player embed.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the site, I just think it’s a shame it’s slowly bleeding out due to lack of updates, be it that there aren’t any reviews coming in, or bieng posted, fact is that if you run a review and news website like this, not updating for over a month are signs of decay.
Either get a few editors in to post stuff on the main page, or give in, and tell the reviewers not to bother cos it’s not coming out of the pipeline anyway, and put on a frontpage post for people to go to the forums. That’s my suggestion, anyway.
on December 26th, 2007 at 3:53 pm
Yea the forum will keep us alive because we can talk about the games :D. I actually never went to check out the forum… But I will today. mollygoth is right. Advertise about the forum and it kinda counts as an update. Not just that people will go to the forums and start talking about…stuff? :s
on December 30th, 2007 at 7:43 am
IT-ninja…wow…maybe if you read his comment more closely, he said “candyman: i cant tell if you are being a bitch OR NOT”
that was either 1- a joke
or 2-confused : not knowing if i were being a bitch, which i wasnt
