Gish 2 Announced!
Gish 2 is now listed as in development on the the Cryptic Sea website. The release date is a vague “later”, and the description is a mere ellipsis, but this is fantastic news for Gish lovers everywhere. Alex and Edmund, the original programmer and artist on Gish, will be working on the sequel (they recently acquired the rights to Gish from Chronic Logic). Godspeed, gentlemen!
More concept art is available on the Cryptic Sea page.

Yahaa! Oh, wow. I’m almost drooling at that deliciously promising concept art. :d
That little goo guy with the sword looks awesome, like a cross between Gish and Stitch (and what could be better than that?). I think it might be more fun to control him than Gish. Well, I can hope…

I imagine that sword guy is just gish with some sort of cape on and a sword. If so, that would be cool. (Plays Gish 1 and wishes he could don a cape a sword then.)

They look like new forms that Gish can take – time will tell…
Maybe he’ll be able to split in smaller pieces (like in LocoRoco i think, but i never played it to know for sure – don’t own a PSP), or be more… aggresive when the situation demands it :D

I think that might be someone besides Gish.
He has some pointy things over his eyebrows and the name of the file is boony.jpg…
Hrmm…

Great ! :D

@SgtBob: I never noticed those horns., Boony is a stupid name, but then.. So is gish.
I still think gish should get a sword and cape.

I just got Gish 1 today, and I can’t wait for the sequel. The only thing I can’t figure out in gish one is how to use the clear gish cheat, which is mentioned in the gish section of the Chronic Logic forums, and how to switch to other characters that gish, like whoever “stitch” is mentioned above. I probably misunderstood, and you can’t play as any other models. If you know how to do either of these, could you explain it to me please? Thanks.

You can only use other blob characters in 2-4 player vs. and the clear gish mode (god) mode and only be found on one of the last levels of the game.
check out gamefaqs.com’s faq for gish.
on March 22nd, 2007 at 5:38 am
Ok, thanks. I didn’t think that you could use other blobs in single player, which is what I was asking. Oh, and I had checked gamefaqs.com, but I only checked the cheats. But thank you again!

I was wondering the same thing, but can’t find it either. I checked every FAQ I could find, like you told Empyreal to do, but none of them mention that. Could anyone enlighten me? I wish that the cryptic sea forums were still in use, I could have asked there.

The god mode cheat is hidden in level 5-1.
ride the hinged platform under the over hang and into a (pretty hard to get to) passageway to the left. right before the 1st door that opens there is an invisible hole above you, jump into it and follow it up and left till you reach a weird room with a question mark and a BSC box. touch the box and you become clear and can control objects with your mouse.

I’ve created a video just for you to illustrate how to get it (Quickly too), I was also interested and searched for the answers just today so it was worth it.
Now nobody can’t know the secrets being held at the Chronic Logic forums :P

Thank you both very much! I couldn’t find it anywhere, but this should make it much easier! I’ve also heard that there’s a secret that lets you click on an enemy to kill it. But if you don’t want to have to tell me, I’m just happy with telekinesis. :D
on March 23rd, 2007 at 1:05 pm
You can move enemies with the ‘telekinesis.’ So it’s basically clicking an enemy to kill it.
Not all enemies can be killed this way though, and some big objects can’t be moved, like the Indiana Jones style boulders.

Ah, ok. Thank you anyways!

Can’t be, can’t be! I hope the target for high-end pc’s (quad core, maybe Ageia), 360 and PS3.
Then we can expect real dynamic water! (and real dynamic Gish, of course)
