Switchball Released
Switchball, the physics-based marble platform game, has been commercially released! A trial version of the game is available from the official site, and the full version is available for $19.99. I previously reviewed the old one-level demo of the game. Look for an updated review soon!
In other news, fresh reviews will start being posted this Wednesday on a regular schedule.
Independent Games Summit Talk
Back in March I gave a physics game talk at the Independent Games Summit entitled, “Physics Games Go Indie”. My goal was two-fold: Showcase the best indie physics games, and inspire and empower other indie developers to get started with their own physics game development.
I only had 45 minutes, so I tried to cram a lot of material into the talk. In retrospect, the talk is a little slide-heavy and probably too dense, but I still think it went over well. Simon Carless has been graciously encoding and uploading the videos for all the enjoy, so here you go:
Reviewer/Moderator Status
Just a note, because I’m getting some emails about this–I haven’t had time to look through all of the application for game reviewer and forum moderator positions yet. I have an excuse, though; there are lot of them! Over 40 reviewer applications, and over 30 for moderator. I want to make sure I follow up with promising candidates carefully, so I won’t be announcing the positions until later this week.
I’m out of town this week, but will have email access, so I’ll be following up with select people in the next few days. Sorry for the delay, but work has been busy (lot of casual games to cover lately, with some new titles like the Hidden Expedition: Everest game coming out this week too…not that physics game players particularly care!)
